Chief Risk Officer

About the Role:
Fidelity Canada is seeking a seasoned risk management professional to lead our risk function and drive strategic direction for the organization. As Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks, developing and implementing risk management frameworks, and providing expert guidance to senior management and the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the management of significant risk issues and events, including assessment, root cause analysis, and remediation.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management and the board on risk programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational risks are properly assessed and mitigated.
- Communicate risk-related information effectively across the organization and provide training as needed.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
- Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role.
- 10+ years of experience at the management level.
- Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.
