Faculty Position in Nucleic Acid Based Nanomedicine

We are seeking a highly qualified researcher to join our team as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The successful candidate will hold a joint appointment between the two units at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
Background: The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has a long history of excellence in research and education, with a strong focus on molecular and structural biology. The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering is a world-renowned program that consistently ranks among the top departments in the world.
Responsibilities:
* Establish a field-defining research and training program that merges principles and techniques of biochemistry/molecular biology and engineering at the forefront of nanomedicines and cellular therapeutics.
* Concentrate on addressing emerging needs in diverse areas such as vaccine development, or treatment of cancer, blood disorders, or genetic diseases.
* Demonstrate significant achievements in delivering groundbreaking advancements and leading a high-impact research program, along with effectively educating and mentoring future leaders in the specified field.
Requirements:
* A Ph.D. in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, or a related field.
* A strong track record of research experience and expertise in nucleic acid-based nanomedicines, including but not limited to mRNA or other RNA-based medicines, genome editing approaches, and all aspects of the delivery technologies required for these to be effective.
What We Offer:
* A competitive salary range of $160,000-$180,000 at the rank of Associate Professor and $180,000-220,000 at the rank of Professor.
