About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at YARROW LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer patients from wheelchairs to beds and vice versa, and assist with mobility exercises.
  • Nutrition and Hydration: Serve meal trays, assist with feeding, and ensure patients have access to water and other fluids.
  • Wound Care: Clean and dress wounds, and apply dressings as needed.
  • Medication Administration: Assist with administering medications, as directed by licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Certifications: Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
