Job Summary

The Pharmacy Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of the pharmacy and its budget, including sales, expenses, and inventory. This role involves managing and monitoring inventory levels, planograms, pricing, and promotional merchandise within the pharmacy. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for improvement, and reporting on target metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the operation of the pharmacy and its budget.
  • Monitor inventory levels, planograms, pricing, and promotional merchandise.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement, and report on target metrics.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating patient care functions, such as medication reviews and patient care-oriented activities.
  • Interact with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Dispense prescriptions in accordance with all professional and legal standards.
  • Abide by all regulations and policies in control, safekeeping, and sale of drugs.
  • Assist with checking and adjusting customer complaints within established policies.
  • Be aware of and informed about Pioneer Co-op contracts, policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with federal and provincial legislation, regulations, bylaws, and accrediting body standards.
  • Establish and maintain quality management policies and procedures.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, development, scheduling, and performance management.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with a license to practice in Saskatchewan. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
