Job Summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of the pharmacy and its budget, including sales, expenses, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor inventory levels, planograms, pricing, and promotional merchandise within the pharmacy.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement, and report on target metrics.
• Maintain awareness of current local competitive activity and identify potential business development opportunities.
• Dispense, counsel, and administer injections, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• Assist in developing and coordinating patient care functions, such as medication reviews and patient care-oriented activities.
• Interact with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Abide by all regulations and policies in control, safekeeping, and sale of drugs, including return and/or disposal of outdated stock.
• Assist with checking and adjusting customer complaints within established policies.
• Be aware of and informed about Pioneer Co-op contracts, policies, procedures, and practices.
• Be familiar with and assist with current merchandising and signing policies, procedures, and practices.
• Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and caring service to customers to promote good member/customer relations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with federal and provincial legislation, regulations, bylaws, and accrediting body standards.
• Establish and maintain quality management policies and procedures, including a process for reporting, documenting, and following up on known, alleged, and suspected errors, incidents, and discrepancies.
• Oversee staff recruitment, development, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee Southside Pharmacy in conjunction with the Southside Pharmacist Manager.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with a license to practice in Saskatchewan is required. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position and is subject to Pioneer Co-op's Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment. Must be willing to cover all shifts.
