Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Cycle Accountant to join our team at Go Auto. As an integral part of our accounting department, you will be responsible for the entire accounting cycle, from financial statement preparation to production costing, payroll, cash flow management, budgeting, refunds, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries as needed.
  • Assisting with month-end financial reporting on multiple accounting books for review and discussion.
  • Managing monthly intercompany billing and reconciliation.
  • Participating in monthly inventory counts and carrying out inventory reconciliations and production costing.
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring optimal levels are maintained to meet requirements.
  • Preparing monthly credit card summary statements and processing Credit Card Expenses.
  • Assisting with year-end working papers.
  • Assisting with annual budget process for review and discussion.
  • Performing various financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting as directed by the Controller.
  • Filing monthly GST and Payroll tax returns.
  • Assisting with AP and AR duties, other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with system and process implementations and providing feedback on improvements.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in full-cycle accounting, preferably in retail, restaurant, and/or food production industries. Experience utilizing Netsuite is considered a strong asset. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, with preference given to candidates working towards their CPA designation.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate-Advanced knowledge in Excel and MS Office.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a preference for working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Working conditions include working in an office environment 5 days a week, with occasional weekends and evenings required to support business needs.
