About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at The Descartes Systems Group Inc. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, resolving billing disputes, and identifying opportunities for improvement in our collections process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly communicate with customers to resolve past due balances and ensure timely payment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account notes and records
  • Monitor aging reports to identify and address problem accounts
  • Perform account reconciliations as needed and investigate payment discrepancies
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collections efficiency and reduce bad debt
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate invoicing

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in collections or a related field
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 CAD to $60,000 CAD, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
