Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement and Risk Management Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the management, collection, and analysis of clinical and non-clinical data to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate the management, collection, and analysis of clinical and non-clinical data to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk management.
  2. Participate as a member of the management team in providing expertise and guidance on continuous quality and risk management improvement initiatives.
  3. Liaise with staff to communicate and promote the importance of continuous improvement goals.
  4. Support teams on the use of continuous quality improvement and risk management tools and processes.
  5. Oversee the quality improvement plan activities and develop quarterly and annual quality reports.
  6. Lead the accreditation and certification process with the organization.
  7. Support the service feedback process, including assisting employees in early resolution and connecting with complainants to investigate and provide recommendations.
  8. Responsible for gathering and evaluating risk management data from the organization and analyzing data for patterns and trends in care delivery.
  9. Assist with organization-wide education and capacity building related to risk management and quality improvement.
  10. Coordinate consumer input/feedback surveys, reviewing results and providing recommendations for improvement.
  11. Stay up-to-date on best practices, trends, and applications related to continuous improvement.
  12. Collaborate with the management team and front-line employees to coordinate the review of adverse incidents, ensuring implementation of recommendations and risk mitigation strategies.
  13. Participate in various internal/external committees and community of practices.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Planning, Risk Management, Public Administration, or Human Services.
  2. Minimum of three to five years of recent experience in leading/facilitating quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Extensive knowledge and understanding of quality and risk management principles, client safety, best practices, methods, and techniques.
  4. Knowledge of interdisciplinary care models.
  5. In-depth knowledge of issues analysis, policy development, clinical and operational issues, care processes, decision-making, process control, and management.
  6. Knowledge of local and national issues and trends in managed care and primary health care.
  7. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively with staff and community organizations.
  9. Self-motivated, organized, creative, and able to work independently with good judgment.
  10. Ability to minimize risks adhering to established policies and procedures.
  11. Ability to initiate, manage, and implement multiple tasks simultaneously.
  12. Ability to effectively attain or exceed organizational goals and objectives and proactively drive quality improvement.
  13. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as the Internet.
