About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Ecom Logistics. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial management, planning, risk management, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and growth objectives.
    • Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes.
    • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the executive team.
    • Ensure optimal financial performance, cost management, and profitability.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget variance reports.
    • Present financial results to the leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee risk management, including insurance, audits, and adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards.
    • Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations, including local, state, and federal laws.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Management:
    • Manage company cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
    • Lead fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, when needed to support growth.
    • Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee the finance department, including accounting, financial planning, and analysis.
    • Mentor and develop finance team members, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
    • Implement financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Serve as a key advisor on corporate governance and financial decision-making.
    • Work closely with the CEO to guide the company's overall strategic direction.
    • Ensure that the company's financial policies and practices are aligned with best practices and ethical standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and accounting principles.
  • Experience with fundraising, capital markets, and investor relations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in financial software and systems.
