We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at West Coast Reduction Ltd. in Saskatoon, SK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial transport trucks, as well as performing preventative maintenance services. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy duty mechanics and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose faults in commercial transport trucks
  • Perform repairs and maintenance services on heavy duty vehicles
  • Review and discuss work orders with supervisors
  • Operate equipment such as vacuum pumps, hydraulics, and fork loaders
  • Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid Saskatchewan Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate or interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal Certification
  • 3 years of experience in truck repairs or similar environment
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and manuals
  • Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 50 lbs
