Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Gestion Cejemar Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting our food preparation and service teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Support the food service team by replenishing condiments and supplies, and serving customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Participate in receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, pots, and pans
  • Help with packaging take-out food and portioning and wrapping foods
  • Support the kitchen team by carrying and replacing linen, and cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a food service or kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and machinery
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
