Kitchen Helper Job Description

Cedhar Gestion inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Carry and replace linen, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and restock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to speak English or French.
