We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support and expertise to our underground and surface operations.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, you will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment. Your technical knowledge and practical skills will be essential in maintaining and repairing our heavy-duty equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including Alimak systems.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections to detect faults and malfunctions, and determine the extent of required repairs.
- Adjust and repair or replace defective parts, and test equipment for proper performance.
- Assist in the forecasting of parts and materials, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics and other departments as needed.
Requirements:
- Interprovincial Heavy Duty trade certification (Technical mechanical diploma considered).
- Minimum two-three (2-3) years' experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
- Alimak experience an asset.
Working Conditions:
This is a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule at our remote camp, with pick-up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge. You will be required to fly in and out of the camp.
