We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Landscape Labourer to join our team at G Class Landscapes Inc. as a key member of our grounds maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with landscape constructions, including excavation, grading, and installation of hardscapes and softscapes.
- Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
- Cut grass and maintain turf to ensure a healthy and even appearance.
- Remove litter and garbage from the work site to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as required.
- Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas of the lawn.
- Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of the landscape.
- Apply fertilizers and other chemicals as needed to promote healthy plant growth.
- Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including sprayers, dusters, and weed trimmers.
The successful candidate will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. They will be required to work in wet and damp conditions, and may be exposed to noise, odours, and dust.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as landscaping or grounds maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
