Job Summary

Davidson Contract Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Fleet Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate the activities of our truck fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring the performance of our drivers and vehicles.
  • Ensure Compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including health and safety protocols, environmental regulations, and transportation laws.
  • Manage Maintenance and repair of our truck fleet, including coordinating with mechanics and suppliers to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Train and Develop our drivers and other staff members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate Logistics and supply chain management to ensure that our fleet is properly equipped and supplied to meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as transportation, logistics, or business administration.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role in the transportation industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, mechanics, and other staff members. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and any other relevant certifications or licenses required by law or industry standards.
