Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our team at the Outreach Urban Health Centre in Kelowna, B.C. This is a permanent part-time position (0.64 FTE) that requires a strong understanding of mental health issues and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support iOAT services in Kelowna, providing evidence-based treatment interventions for individuals with severe opioid use disorder.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide primary care, mental health care, and psychosocial services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with clients, assisting them with health life skills and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and community resources to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the department.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma in a field relevant to the position.
  • Two years of recent experience working with clients experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
  • Current valid B.C. Driver's License.
