Job Title: LTO Planning Time English Teacher

We are seeking a qualified LTO Planning Time English Teacher to join our team at the Simcoe County District School Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective instruction, training, and evaluation of student progress in English, as well as managing the classroom and reporting to the principal on student progress. The teacher will also carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs assigned by the principal and supply information related thereto as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective instruction, training, and evaluation of student progress in English
  • Manage the classroom and report to the principal on student progress
  • Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs assigned by the principal
  • Supply information related to supervisory duties and instructional programs as required
  • Cooperate with the principal and other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices in the school
  • Ensure that report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with the guides known as the Guide to the Provincial Report Card, Grades 1-8 and Guide to the Provincial Report Card, Grades 9-12
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: LTO - 0.3 Planning Time English, PLANNING TIME FI, FSL QUALS, DAY 1,2,3 AFTEROONS
  • Experience: 5 or more years of permanent contract teaching experience with another board that can be confirmed through your resume and application
