About the Role

Esri is seeking a skilled Product Engineering Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our product engineering writing team, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging stories about satellite imagery, drone imagery, and aerial photography.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality documentation in the ArcGIS Help system about using hosted imagery and raster analytics.
  • Create informative blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials for GIS practitioners that provide guidance, best practices, and applied workflows for imagery and raster analytics.
  • Design innovative workflows for applying imagery in various communities, programs, and industries.
  • Collaborate with product development, product marketing, product management, documentation, sales, and other teams to provide learning resources about imagery capabilities in ArcGIS.

Requirements

  • A portfolio submission of your recent writing work.
  • At least 5 years of professional writing experience related to satellite imagery, drone imagery, remote sensing, or GIS.
  • Experience with web-based content management systems to create and publish documents.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; work proactively and volunteer assistance.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work.
  • A Bachelor's degree in GIS, remote sensing, English, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications

  • A blended background including technical and creative writing.
  • Familiarity with image processing, management, and analysis.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Exposure to web development patterns using REST and Python.
  • A Master's degree in GIS, remote sensing, English, or a related field.
