About This Role

Island Health is seeking a skilled Palliative Care Physician to join our team in Oceanside, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide palliative care services to patients at Trillium Lodge Parksville, including consultation and management of complex cases.
  • Conduct outpatient and home visits to provide comprehensive care to patients in need.
  • Participate in the rural and remote palliative care on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Teach and supervise medical learners as part of our commitment to education and professional development.
Compensation Package

We are offering a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • An estimated annual salary range of $250,000-$300,000 based on experience.
  • Rural subsidy incentives, including recruitment incentives, relocation costs reimbursement, fee premiums, and annual flat fees.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development through teaching and supervision of medical learners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Eligibility for faculty appointment with UBC.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
