Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Architect - Data Migration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Architect to join our team at Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. as a Data Migration Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the migration of our client's data to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive migration plan to prioritize tasks and ensure successful migration of data to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Collaborate with the client's team to document the inventory of current data, analytics, and technology assets, and develop a plan to migrate these assets to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design and implement a proof of concept for Microsoft Fabric, demonstrating its capabilities and providing a sandbox for learning and exploration.
  • Provide consultation and guidance on Azure Fabric Capacity architecture to support Fabric services, including enterprise reporting, scalable report development, and expanded citizen data analysis and report development.
  • Assess Microsoft Fabric's federated data governance capabilities for data sharing with provincial health partner entities.
  • Support documentation of Privacy Impact Assessment and Security Assessment for Fabric utilization.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation.
  • 2+ years of experience in Azure Synapse Data & Analytics architecture and implementation.
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification.
  • Strong understanding of data migration, data governance, and data security principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in Databricks workflows, delta live tables pipelines, and Notebooks.
  • Experience in data engineering and PowerBI reporting architecture.
  • Hands-on operational experience on Microsoft Fabric.
