Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise authority as a manager, including staffing, scheduling, performance management, training, one-on-one coaching, employee recognition, and development.
  • Ensure timely completion and administration of performance appraisals.
  • Implement appropriate actions when an employee's performance is not meeting expectations.
  • Keep staff informed of branch manager meeting updates and industry regulatory information or changes, providing ongoing coaching on identifying customer needs and deepening customer relationships.

Customer Service Focus:

  • Manage expectations for exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate Sussex's position on regulations, policies, and procedures in a positive manner.
  • Focus on customer retention.

Operations Management:

  • Direct, control, and/or delegate daily operations, including security procedures, audit control, end-of-day reporting, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of Personal Lines/Autoplan experience.
  • 3 years of management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

Compensation:

$50,000 – $60,000 competitive wage and benefit package included.
