About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality components and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation

Search, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers for automotive components and materials in alignment with sourcing strategies.

Request for Proposal (RFP) and Quote (RFQ) Development

Develop RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, that align with project requirements and specifications.

Vendor Analysis and Recommendation

Analyze and evaluate vendor quotes and proposals. Conduct critical evaluations based on the supplier onboarding process considering factors such as price, quality, experience, and capabilities.

Sourcing Strategy Development

Develop, implement, and improve sourcing strategies based on supplier segmentation techniques such as the Kraljic Matrix, vendor categories, and others.

Market Analysis and Risk Assessment

Analyze market trends, pricing, and cost structures to identify supplier cost savings opportunities. Assess risks and implement mitigation plans related to supply chains including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.

Contract Negotiation and Management

Negotiate and finalize contracts/long-term agreements with key suppliers.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of metal-formed, injection molded, electronic, and EV parts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Industry Knowledge

Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What We Offer

Estimated salary range: $70k-$85k CAD.

Compensation at Hexagon Purus includes base salary, comprehensive benefits package, variable annual bonus, and 6% RRSP match.
