Financial Controller Job Opportunity

At Pacific National Exhibition, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial operations, with the ability to oversee the company's financial management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors to ensure that financial records are accurate and compliant.
  • Assist with design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting process as required.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) and 5-10 years of progressive accounting and operations experience.
  • Previous experience preferred working with ERP, POS, and Inventory Management.
  • Professional knowledge of Canadian public sector accounting standards.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and administrative skills.
