Disability Claims Specialist

We are seeking a Disability Claims Specialist to join our team in Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for the proactive management of assigned disability claims by determining the length of disability through an evaluation of medical information and job duties.
The ideal candidate will have experience or training in one of the following fields: health and wellness, disability and life or health insurance, injury claims, or customer service.
You will be expected to use your critical thinking skills to make decisions based on the results of your overall assessment of each claim. This includes implementing return-to-work programs and coordinating with employers.
Our company offers a competitive salary range of $54,500-$81,800 annually, as well as a hybrid work style that includes some rotational in-office and work-from-home capabilities.
Bilingualism in French and English is required, along with strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills in a client-facing environment.
The base salary for this position is between $54,500minimum - $81,800maximum annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
