We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at Dre. As a valued member, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals in need of support. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and a client-centered approach that prioritizes dignity, respect, and empathy.
Our PSW is expected to have hands-on experience from respected healthcare institutions in Ontario, with a focus on personal, palliative, and dementia care. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive care, including mobility support, personal hygiene assistance, and mental health support. Additionally, proficiency in using various assistive devices, such as lifts and wheelchairs, is essential for safe and efficient handling. Crisis prevention, household management, and effective communication skills are also crucial in meeting the diverse needs of clients in any care environment.
To excel in this role, our PSW should possess ongoing certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), COVID-19 vaccination, and a valid Food Handler Certificate. We strive to create a supportive environment where our staff can grow and develop their skills.
