Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Finishing Assistant to join our team at Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the metal finishing process, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 33 to 40 hours per week.
