About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Deep Gas Fitting Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced tradespeople with various tasks related to construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Spill Response: Respond to and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on construction sites.
  • Site Cleanup: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: You will be performing repetitive tasks, such as material handling and cleaning.
Weight Handling
  • Weight Limit: You will be required to lift and handle materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Suitability
  • Flexibility: You must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • Reliability: You will be expected to be reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

Requirements
  • Training Provided: We will provide on-the-job training to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the role.
  • Employment Type: This is a permanent position, with a regular full-time schedule.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: You will be working 35-40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
