About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Retail Meat Cutter to join our team at Oj's Halal Meat. As a Retail Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Meat Handling and Storage: Handle and store meat products in a clean and safe environment to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock, to ensure adequate supply of meat products.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean equipment, including band saws, manual cutting utensils, and slicing machines, to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a butcher shop or meat cutting environment is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
