At Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. This exciting opportunity is available in the role of Medical Radiation Technologist I.

The position involves working as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, performing and providing high-quality radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis. The selected candidate will be responsible for interpreting physician requisitions, preparing and assessing patients for examination, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.

This individual will also assist with the care and maintenance of equipment, including general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required. A diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program is essential, along with active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

We require excellent communication skills in English, previous experience in an appropriate imaging modality, and good organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to cooperate, work independently, and promote teamwork are also necessary. Perception, initiative, good judgment, concern for detail and accuracy, and tact in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians are expected.
