About the Role:

The City of Cornwall is seeking a highly skilled Project Supervisor to join our Infrastructure Planning Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance duties during the construction of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing tender documentation and completing construction estimates;
  • Coordinate construction meetings and take meeting minutes;
  • Supervise and inspect capital projects and contractors;
  • Complete special projects and perform related duties as required;
  • Monitor construction site safety;
  • Coordinate with utilities, specialty construction inspections, and material testing as required;
  • Assist in preparing construction notices, change orders, and site instructions;
  • Liaise between contractors and other City staff.

Requirements:

  • Possess a post-secondary Civil Engineering Technology college diploma or extensive civil construction supervisory experience;
  • Have a minimum of two years municipal construction inspection experience;
  • Be proficient with construction layout and able to read and interpret engineering drawings;
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and public relations skills;
  • Hold a valid unrestricted Class G Driver's License.
