Utilize a high level of project management expertise to ensure effective project execution (i.e., manage scope, timelines, costs, performance, safety, communication, human resources, contracts, materials, risks, and quality).

Accountable for advanced multidisciplinary projects characterized by substantial scope and complexity, addressing a wide range of technical and commercial challenges with significant revenue implications and industry-wide influence.

Collaborate with Design Engineering, Nuclear Safety, Facility Staff, Procurement, and Construction on critical matters.

Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve intricate project risks independently.

Deliver timely and relevant project updates to Kinectrics Management, project teams, and clients through proposals, reports, recommendations, and presentations.

Lead the creation of innovative technical and project solutions to meet customer needs that extend beyond previous practices.

Oversee vendor performance and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration to achieve project objectives.

Identify and implement novel solutions to address challenges and enhance project efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

Ensure that projects include a comprehensive schedule that encompasses critical paths, cost allocations, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), relationships and logic ties, constraints, milestones, and codes.

Maintain historical data for cost and schedule impact analysis for future initiatives.

Establish and communicate Project Execution Plans to clarify roles, responsibilities, and authority to relevant stakeholders.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Kinectrics staff and review complex work for accuracy.

A four-year university degree in Engineering (Electrical/I&C, Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in independently managing multidisciplinary projects with significant scope and complexity, demonstrating a clear understanding of project methodologies.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for a developmental role, provided they demonstrate strong leadership skills and project management qualifications.

Proficient understanding of basic generation plant design/operation related to Nuclear power plants, skid-based designs, or international power projects.

Ability to quickly grasp technical and business processes, demonstrating initiative for continuous personal development.

Exhibit strengths in advanced conflict resolution, problem-solving, and change management.

Familiarity with project accounting software (e.g., SAP), project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), Microsoft Office tools, and related project/technical software is essential.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Project management certification such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Eligibility for Security clearance for nuclear site access may be required.
  • Accreditation (or eligibility) as a licensed Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO).
