We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team at our Peterborough, Ontario facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technical and engineering assignments, including design, drafting, and implementation of electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.

About the Role:
  • Design and optimize control systems and software related to electrical and mechanical systems
  • Identify suppliers of electro-mechanical components
  • Develop electrical schematics and detailed manufacturing drawings per the Westinghouse Quality Manual
  • Develop software and related documentation (as applicable)
  • Support electrical and/or mechanical assembly of developed systems
  • Support the development of component specifications and purchasing requests
  • Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
  • Assist with the development of test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Assist with the operation of the final tooling system in customer facilities
About You:
  • You hold an electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering degree eligibility
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You have excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • You have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
  • You have knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
  • You are self-motivated and highly organized
  • You are proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
