Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for the supervision of RNs and RPNs who provide care and support to clients in the community. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support RNs and RPNs to ensure they are practicing in accordance with legislated standards and company policies.
- Respond to and resolve concerns from community staff, patients, and families.
- Provide ongoing leadership through regular meetings and one-on-ones.
- Initiate patient safety incident investigations and document findings.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to support clinical documentation and submission requirements.
- Engage patients in problem-solving and provide health teaching and support.
- Engage staff in problem-solving and provide education and coaching.
Requirements
- Current RN or RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing RN or RPN.
- Comprehensive patient health assessment skills.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
