Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Food Service Lead to join our team at Frank and Gino Grill and Pasta House/Greco Pizza. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and exceptional customer service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment and possess excellent leadership skills. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.

You will also address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure in a physically demanding environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • High school diploma required; some post-secondary education preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a noisy, wet/damp, and hot environment
