Job Summary

The Nurse Specialist at OSMH is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU). This role requires a strong knowledge base in patient physiology, pathophysiology, and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and maintain patient records and reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the CNO.
  • Certificate in BCLS and ACLS.
  • Minimum of three years current related nursing experience.
  • Post-Anaesthetic Nursing Certificate and one year experience in a Recovery Room setting.
  • Coronary Care Nursing 1.
  • IV certification and related experience.
  • Airway management and hemodynamic monitoring skills.
  • Strong knowledge base in patient physiology, pathophysiology, and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
