Activity Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Activity Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority.
Job Summary:The Activity Aide will be responsible for developing information materials for patients, following through on treatment programs, and preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop information materials for patients, including brochures, newsletters, and other educational materials.
- Follow through on treatment programs with patients, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to achieve desired outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, including ordering and stocking of materials.
- Maintain supplies, including restocking and organizing of storage areas.
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
- Process files and paperwork, including scanning and shredding of documents.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
The Activity Aide will work in a nursing home/home for the aged environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking required. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 25 pounds and have good manual dexterity.
