Key Responsibilities
In your role as the Senior Consultant, you will be tasked with the following:
- Oversee project management and document the success of design, application, and product modifications in the field.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships as a subject matter expert, providing insights for optimal practices and applications supported by key performance metrics.
- Manage project-related expenses, including materials and travel costs.
- Contribute to achieving targeted customer profitability as assessed by EBIT.
- Administer all company assets to support the attainment of organizational objectives.
- Conduct pre-blast assessments such as face profiles, borehole deviation evaluations, blast geometry analyses, product sampling, and safety audits.
- Measure blast performance through methods like digital high-speed video, vibration monitoring, detonation velocity, and dynamic pressure assessments.
- Perform time studies on personnel and equipment across operations, including drilling and blasting, truck-shovel loading, dragline, and processing.
- Respond promptly and professionally to address challenges and business inquiries.
- Enhance service requirements to continually boost customer profitability.
- Communicate effectively with all DynoConsult engineers and personnel.
- Prepare and accurately document reports to ensure proper project documentation and archiving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geology, mining, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction, mining, or the explosives sector, covering both surface and underground operations.
- Preferred experience in project management.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Must possess an engineer's permit, be in good standing, and registered in any Canadian province.
- Must have an approval letter for access to high explosives (ON) or a General explosives permit (QC).
- Certification in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Completion of Basic underground hard rock mine service type common core, modular training of a miner, or equivalent certification.
- Willingness to travel (60%) based on location and work requirements, with vehicle provision.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
- A positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a collaborative spirit.
