About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead, Systems Administration to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading a team of systems administrators and providing technical expertise in the management and administration of our enterprise server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of systems administrators, ensuring effective use of technical resources and meeting performance targets.
- Develop and implement strategies for the management and administration of our enterprise server infrastructure, including file, print, application, web, messaging, and database systems.
- Provide second and third-level support for Service Desk and Application Support Teams, related to hardware and operating systems.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including backup schedules and disaster recovery planning.
- Participate in major problem reviews and make suggestions for network, services availability, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years recent related experience in an information systems technical environment.
- Minimum two (2) years recent experience in a leadership role.
- Proven hands-on specialized project experience with Microsoft's infrastructure tools and technologies, including Linux, VMWARE, CISCO, iSCSI/FC Storage Windows 2008/2012 server operating systems.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of core Microsoft & Linux technologies and strategies.
