We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Bluewater Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care, teaching, and support to patients across various specialties
- Support patients during procedures, administer IV medications, and perform required testing
- Participate in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
- Act as a coach, mentor, and positive role model for new staff and students
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Completion of additional college equivalent courses to deliver care at the full-scope of RPN practice
- Current BCLS certification
- Ability to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- Ability to work independently or interdependently as part of a team
- Recent clinical experience on an acute care nursing unit
- Experience communicating effectively with patients/families and with the healthcare team
- Recent clinical experience in Ambulatory Care, OR nursing, or Emergency nursing
