About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at the University Health Network's Liver Clinic in Toronto. This pivotal role requires a skilled professional with a passion for improving patient outcomes in liver health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families on lifestyle modifications, dietary guidelines, medication adherence, and potential complications.
- Facilitate access to resources and support services for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and intervention plans.
- Perform Fibroscan tests and direct care responsibilities, including venipuncture, IV insertion, albumin transfusions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures.
- Collaborate with staff hepatologists to optimize patient care pathways and outcomes.
- Completion of a university, college, or other approved nursing program.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or a related field.
- Certification in hepatology nursing or a related specialty is preferred.
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive offer package, including a salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, as well as opportunities for development and promotions within a large organization.
