Accountant Co-op Opportunity

In a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, MNP is seeking a talented Co-op Accountant to join our Tax team. As a trusted advisor, you will design solutions for clients that meet compliance and reporting requirements, minimize risk, drive efficiencies, and maximize returns.

This 4-month term opportunity is perfect for students working towards a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, with a focus on accounting or finance. You will have the chance to develop technical skills in areas such as compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and tax, as well as apply knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE).

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, managing multiple files simultaneously, and conducting inventory counts. You will also research various tax-related issues and conclude on their potential implications, collect and analyze relevant financial and tax data, and review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.
