We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Department Head to join our team at the University of Manitoba. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our department and contributing to the university's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Education
    • Conduct research in your field of specialization and publish scholarly articles.
    • Teach one or more university subjects, including undergraduate and graduate courses.
    • Supervise graduate students and direct research programs.
  • Departmental Leadership
    • Provide strategic direction and vision for the department.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective departmental operations.
    • Lead and manage a team of faculty members and staff.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
    • Participate in interdisciplinary research and development projects.
    • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments and faculties to advance the university's research agenda.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in academia, research, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent research and teaching skills.
    • Strong leadership and management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
