Job Title: Department Head

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Department Head to join our team at the University of Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the department, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the department, including staff, faculty, and students
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Provide academic leadership and guidance to faculty and staff
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs and services
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources
  • Represent the department at university and external events
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Proven track record of academic leadership and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
