Job Overview

We're seeking a highly experienced Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and estimating property damage, as well as providing expert advice to our claims team.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site inspections to determine the extent of property damage
  • Creating detailed reports and estimates of repair costs
  • Communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues to resolve claims efficiently
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in property damage assessment

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Five to eight years of experience in post-claim appraisal, with a focus on large losses
  • Diploma in building appraisal and/or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software
