Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides routine nursing care to patients, including administering medications, treatments, and vital signs monitoring.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and addresses any concerns or issues.
• Conducts educational sessions for patients and their families on health-related topics, including medication management and disease prevention.
• Participates in interdisciplinary collaborations and contributes to the development of individualized care plans.

Requirements:
• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and other medical software.

Work Environment:
• Work is performed primarily in a healthcare setting, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
• The ability to lift, move, and position patients safely is essential, as is the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
