About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at CancerCare Manitoba. As a key member of our BreastCheck department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Provide supportive functions for clients, staff, and the department in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Organize and manage patient data using electronic clinical systems.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant Program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
  • Experience in a healthcare clinical environment, involving interaction with patients and the public.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as a positive member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Works with a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Indigenous Canadian Citizen.
  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
  • Experience working in Screening Programs.
