Punjab Trucking Corp is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of navigation systems and be able to plan routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Responsibilities- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to work on site
