Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and contribute to our goal of zero incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct health and safety orientations for new employees and contractors
- Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement health and safety training programs
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics
- Collaborate with site managers and supervisors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of practical health and safety experience and on-site industrial expertise
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Knowledge of Ontario Certificate of Recognition (COR) and related regulations
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Auditor qualifications and experience
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations
- Knowledge of environmental compliance legislation and management of waste, water, air, chemicals, etc.
