Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Environmental Law Professor to teach and conduct research in the field of environmental law. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental law and policy, and will be able to teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in environmental law and policy, including International and domestic legal institutions and frameworks in which environmental issues are addressed.
  • Conduct research and publish in the field of environmental law and policy.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies that align with the University's academic goals.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and community engagement.

Requirements

  • PhD in Law or equivalent degree in a related field.
  • Strong background in environmental law and policy.
  • Excellent teaching and research skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
