Hornblower Captain

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Captain to join our team at Hornblower Cruises and Events. As a Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Operate vessels in accordance with Transport Canada rules and regulations, as well as other federal and local laws
  
• Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise
  
• Oversee the execution of safety programs in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies
  
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and protocols, including pre-cruise preparation and cruise execution
  
• Manage and supervise crew members to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and safely
  
• Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and guest experience
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 
  
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as nautical science or maritime studies
  
• Master Limited license for a vessel of 60 gross tonnage or more
  
• Current Marine Basic First Aid certification
  
• Valid passport to enter the United States
  
• Transport Canada-approved marine medical certification within the last two years
  
• Minimum of five years of marine experience with an outstanding record
  
• Strong knowledge of ship systems and maintenance procedures
  
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
